I Am USAction
It's outrageous that Republican leaders won't meet with constituents to answer questions about why they are working for the 1% instead of focussing on creating jobs. But if you live in Virginia, you've got a unique chance to make a difference right now. See the note below from our partner in Virginia to find out how.

Join us as we take the fight to Cantor

Dear USAction Member,

Have you seen Eric Cantor? If you live in Virginia the answer is probably “no.”

During the congressional recess, U.S. Representatives all over the country are making their way back to their districts to meet with their constituents.

Where in the world is Eric Cantor? But, not Rep. Cantor.

Rep. Cantor has spent the last several weeks killing the American Jobs Act, attacking the  Occupy Wall Street protesters and restricting women's reproductive rights. And instead of facing his constituents to explain why he is not fighting for jobs, he will be in Philadelphia speaking to UPENN business students on the virtues of trickle down economics.

We are tired of waiting for things to trickle down and we are tired of waiting for Rep. Cantor to show his face in his district.

If Rep. Cantor won’t come to us, we will come to him!  On Friday, October 21, we will be coordinating a car pool up to Philadelphia to join hundreds of protesters who are also tired of Cantor’s obstruction and excuses. Click here to sign up and we will follow up with information about carpooling from Virginia.

Can’t make it Friday?  If you are a constituent of Rep. Cantor, you can still take action by sending Rep. Cantor a message by clicking here. Send an e-postcard to Rep. Cantor encouraging him to visit Virginia and spend some time with his unemployed constituents. Tell Rep. Cantor to stop the political games and support the proposals in the American Jobs Act that will create jobs for the middle class.

Thanks for taking action!

Virginia Organizing Chairperson
